At Mark's Feed Store in Louisville, KY, barbecue enthusiasts will find a delightful mix of flavors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Customers rave about the friendly service, with many noting the delightful complimentary drinks while they wait. One standout dish is the burgoo, a rich and hearty stew that showcases a perfect blend of meats without overwhelming saltiness. It's likened to a flavorful ramen broth, making it an unexpected yet delightful experience.
The honey chicken wings also receive high praise for their crunchy texture and sweet sauce, reminiscent of American-Chinese cuisine. However, a few reviews mention a need for balance in saltiness across various dishes, such as the barnyard corn. Reviews consistently highlight the ribs, fried pickles, and baked beans, with many stating they’ve had their best meals here. The team at Mark's is noted for being accommodating, especially for those with dietary restrictions.
Overall, Mark's Feed Store promises a robust, value-driven dining experience where the food and service combine to create lasting impressions. With delicious offerings that cater to both barbecue aficionados and newcomers alike, this local gem is definitely worth a visit.

Service was super friendly and gave me a free drink while I waited. The burgoo was the best thing I had there. It's filled with a mix of meat flavors and not too salty. It's kind of like tonkotsu ramen broth but beef, pork, and chicken. The barnyard corn was really good though it could tone down the salt a little bit. Honey chicken wings are a solid meal and crunchy. The honey chicken wing sauce is kind of like sweet and spicy American-Chinese sauce but not spicy and more honey. The baked apples were a bit soggy and had some peels left on them which made them chewy. The oreo banana pudding was solid since it used real banana pieces in it.

Fantastic place! From the welcome upon arrival to quick drink service and timely food coming out. Flavors are amazing. Come for the BBQ and fall in love with the fish dinner The best fish dinner I have had in Louisville so far. Fresh healthy portion of side salad and overall great sides. Easy parking and great location. The prices and portions made it a high value experience in my book.

This was my first time eating here and I have to say Chris made my experience a 10/10. The ribs, fried pickles, and baked beans were amazing! The staff was welcoming and the manager Chris made us feel like family. I highly recommend.

This restaurant was great! The food was delicious and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. It was our first time in and our waiter explained the popular meals. As someone with a peanut and tree nut allergy, they were accommodating and mindful. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food and prices. They don't skimp on quality either; for example, their delicious burgoo is full thick and of meat, not a watery vegetable soup. Definitely recommend

Love it. Cute little spot. Prices are great! Def a place where locals and families can go. I went on a weekday during lunch. Quick Serivce. I saw business people , families there. Liked: meats, sandwiches, potatoes Parking- easy How it works- you seat at a table and you have a server. I would recommend to stay with potatoes , corn. I didn’t like the fries. For mgmt: can you please use real butter or offer customers butter.

First time coming here, was suggested by a good friend, from out of state but lived in the south my whole life. The atmosphere was super friendly, wasn't too busy. The waiting staff was quick but not overbaring, talked to me like i was a neighbor or friend. The food came out hot, quick, delicious. Gotta say the brisket is the best but all of it was really good. If its your first time there let them know you get a piece of buttermilk pie and a bottle of bbq sauce for free. And the pie is definitely worth the time going. I didn't feel like i had to wait for my drink to be filled that often. Please give this place a try if you want good down to earth southern home food
